Leif Elggren
a song about the suspension of time and space, about the future and about the possibility to move freely along all coordinates simultaneously, about the realization that everything is impossible but lies open before each and every one of us, about miracles, about the inevitable desire to dominate the world, about violence and about death as a lifelong friendship.
I am thinking of a live electronic situation. …….This is what I use to call Tin-can Crowns equipped with small electrical motors placed on a table. The motors make the tin-cans move over the surface and they also vibrate. I use contact microphones for this and bring with me a small multiprocessor and a mini mixer. It will be like a small table installation. The tin-cans move around this like kings or princes or soldiers.
I need a rectangular table that I can make screws on. I will also need 12 empty tin cans (apprx 100 mm diam) that I can cut and shape like childish crowns. The tin-cans would preferably be those that originally contains peach halves or slices of pineapple or similar :) Need also small stones that could fill the tin-cans so that they will be a bit more heavy. Along with this, on the table are also a small hand-basin (metal one), a piece of soap and a baby doll. Together with this I will use my voice and a vocalist reading texts – my own texts and texts from 500 slogans.
